About the Band

The Rectifier’s are three musicians who have been performing together for the past four years as a part of the northern Virginia Christian outreach ministry, 2nd Thief Ministries (www.2ndthief.org) under the name, 2ndThief Band. As the 2nd Thief Band, we released a CD of original material in the spring of 2009 that also included an inspired remake of the classic hymn, Amazing Grace. To hear samples click on the Music tab above.

As the 2nd Thief Band, we took part in many diverse events, such as the Shenandoah Family Fun Day, the Joe Gibbs annual Youth for Tomorrow Country Fair, the Prince William County Fair, and a picnic for wounded veterans at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center, to name but a few. We have participated in worship services and revivals at churches from Vero Beach, Florida to Logan, Ohio, and locally, from Blacksburg to Harrisonburg, from Vienna to Nokesville, and areas in-between. We have also been available to take part in the occasional wedding, birthday party and memorial service.

In 2011 we became a stand-alone ministry and rebranded the band “The Rectifier’s”. (Note the possessive apostrophe. Let there be no doubt to Whom we belong…).

Our mission is simple: To share our time and resources with others through music and fellowship.

We are available for any and all types of events and venues.  The band members collectively draw upon years of live performance in venues ranging from bars & nightclubs to concert arenas as well as local churches and houses of worship. We specialize in “positive message” music, appropriate for, and tailored to, your needs and event. All requests will be prayerfully considered.
